Pumping up a kite this afternoon we noticed a leak in the valve itself not where the valve joins the actual bladder, we have a U-stick replacement valve but how do we remove the perished valve from the bladder without damaging it?
I found that values are easily replaced with copious amounts of alcohol. These people that use glue to replace values are really doing alot of damage to their brains.. far more than alcohol. Also the values I replace are usually revolving around sex and using glue would make the value of this sex far to low for me to want to replace what I currently get... Hot water to remove values is a winner but takes alot of ground work.
Good of you all to offer a solution to the problem. I have had these before Dean, just send me an email at [email protected] or call the shop and I can offer you a solution.

... would it be a good idea to let the rest of us know how you do it, maybe our way is wrong? I wouldn't mind a different view if thats ok.
The first answer; HOT WATER, although brief was as good an answer as any. Tell us any different. if you can FIX a broken valve let us know how it's done, i've only ever replaced or reseated valves.
