On Wednesday around 4.30pm I was kiting at beach 3, when my kite inverted dragging me out to sea.
My attempts to self rescue was a waste of time. By the time I was next to my kite, I was 1000 m of shore due to the strong wind pushing me away from the beach.
There were a lot of kiters that day but only one came to my rescue. He made sure I was alright and then he went to get some help.
He notified 2 guys on a jet ski who came to my rescue. Without their help I was in big trouble.
So I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU GUYS!!! You were fantastic!

Full credit to the kiter that came to the rescue,we all need assistance at some stage and as he was the only one I applaud him. The last thing our sport needs is to lose the kinsmanship that binds us together. Let's stick together and enjoy the wind.
After the recent bad publicity that jet skiers have had I hope people notice this act of kindness and leave them to their sport as well.
