Rob was spitting nails yesterday when the new Rhino6 fifthline snapped. Same thing happened the day before for his friend with the smaller size but same bar setup. Rob has been a devoted North rider since his first R1 way back but he still gets a bit hot under the collar when they rush to release and then come back later promising free upgrades or mods(R2 bar and R4 leading edge stitching) Well this year it is the bar. Rob please post your explanation on exactly why the line failed as I saw it after it was in two peices but did not understand which pieces of the tackle were rubbing on the line. Looks like the new pulley and trimming system rubs on the 5th line and frays it away fast. Anyway, it was sad as the kite had only been flown twice.

Also Rob, besides the bar, how did you like the kite?

How good was that wind, 21 to 33 knots. Man am I sore. But a good hurt.

This happened to a guy at Picnic Point yesterday (I grabbed the kite for him as it happened with the kite over the shore). He actually injured his finger somehow trying to sort it out after it snapped. Needless to say he wasn't very happy about it! Would be interested to know what the full story is with these breakages?

Edited: was this Rob?
