Are you saying entrepreneurs should go into business without the bottom line in mind? {Host}

{Branson} Ideally, since 80 percent of your life is spent working, you should start your business around something that is a passion of yours. If you're into kite-surfing and you want to become an entrepreneur, do it with kite-surfing.

Look, if you can indulge in your passion, life will be far more interesting than if you're just working. You'll work harder at it, and you'll know more about it. But first you must go out and educate yourself on whatever it is that you've decided to do - know more about kite-surfing than anyone else. That's where the work comes in. But if you're doing things you're passionate about, that will come naturally.

Nothing big, but kinda cool...He kites.

No, but he's rich enough that it doesn't matter.

His airline does have the best sound quality on any national flight though.

Mind you, if he's nice enough and happens to be reading my dribble he'll invite me along for a golden session, all fees paid, to prove me wrong.

"If you're into kite-surfing and you want to become an entrepreneur, do it with kite-surfing."

Now he should have said .This is only an example and helps make me look cool by name dropping .If you were to follow this advice don't plan on being rich like me !

His Island is called "Necker Island" he paid 180 000 Pounds for it in about 1978 and it's in the Virgin Islands funnily enough.

He would have mentioned kiting I think cause he does kite himself. Don't think he's throwing down any handlepasses but I did see him kiting in a show he created once where the winner got to work with him or for the Virgin group or something. I reckon he also funded or helped run an event in the last 12 months or so in Canada or somewhere. This last part of wisdom is sketchy but you can quote me on the island info.

Apparently he flys a full quiver of Best Kites now as well. Has said in a few interviews that they are the best kites he has flown.

Oh and he couldnt make it again this year to the ARSA kite classic. He must be busy.
