Hey everyone I am not so sure if this is something I should post on here but here goes I really want to do this because I really believe in this...
A friend of mine who is a journalist for a Newspaper and myself have decided to Raise money for a Charity...the RSPCA to be exact. We're supporting the RSPCA to promote awareness and prevention of Animal Cruelty.
What we have planned to do is Ride from Brisbane to Sydney. I will be the safety spotter in a van while my mate Rides his bike all the way to the RSPCA head office in Sydney. We're doing this in the last week of April over a 7 day period. We've already recieved over $10, 000.00 in donations for the RSPCA but we're aiming for much more. We're plugging all corporate sponsors and have encouraged them to leave forms of signage for our vehicle to show appreciation of their support sharing their common interests with us.
We plan to make frequent stops through townships in NSW and meet all the locals (hopefully some other kitesurfers on the way! It'd be great to visit some other shops too!).
I am hoping to Log our trip with frequent updates and photos via Seabreeze (If they let me!) If we do manage to meet any other Seabreeze members we'll make a speacial mention online to just to make the whole experience more interesting and more interactive for all of our supporters!!!!
If anyone is interested, or has any suggestions or feels a genuine interests in our worthy cause please send me a message it'd be great to hear your feedback.
Thanks so much guys!
Mike

No I dont think at this stage we'd be able to put on one in Byron Bay I know we have some in other towns closer to Sydney. That will probably be hosted by the RSPCA. We cant carry that much stuff because we need spare gear and rations in the van for the ride but I might be able to squeeze one kite quiver in. We'd probably finish at most pit stops at about 1 - 2pm to leave room for looking around and meeting up with the locals. We've already raised over $10 000
