Riding unhooked

i decide to start riding unhooked, but im not sure if i should have a suicide leash or conect to my fith line while learing unhooked?

i would say use a leash that connects to your 5th line, much safe and almost immediate depower if you let go of the bar. hope this helps.

i reckon unless you're trying handle passes then use a suicide leash; the kite will still fly if you drop the handle and you can reel it back in before it hits the water.
if you go to the 5th line, every time you drop the handle you have to relaunch. JMO though

always use a leash, if u dont and let go the bar, the kite is a gonna- maybe or ull just get your lines pretty tangled up.

ALSO: if you're learning, always connect your least to the 5th line, suicide can be dangerous.

I connect to my 5th line. It's so easy to relaunch a 5th line kite that it isn't worth the potential danger of suicide leash IMO.

The leesh just doesnt seem strong enough to keep me attached to a fully powered kite attached suicide, Do they break under this sort of strain?
