Hey p4rlx,

If U like waves, Robes the go. Nice sandy beaches.
If flat water is your cup of tea then Lake George at Beachport is the ducks gust.

I Live in Mt Gambier,if U want to come a bit further south I can show U some well kept secerets.

I've just returned from a kite-roady from Sydney to ADL and I can tell you Lake George is by far the best place I've kited. Pics to be posted soon ;-)

i grew up near lake george and did alot of fishing there. i can easily imagine why it would be a great place to kite.

now i live in the mid north and would like some help finding some decent spots on the yorke peninsula (prefferably the northern end. If any one knows of the best places, let me know.

i have found wallaroo to be alright on westerlies when it's not full of swimmers, and with easterlies i go to point arthur or port clinton which are good when the tides' not out. Other wise ardrossan does alright, but can get pretty choppy by comparison.

i think i'll have to do some more exploring

you need a good amound of ground clearance to get to the spit at lake george, preferably a 4wd, and on a low tide its shallow as hens legs

I get around to the split in a two wheel drive. You wouldn't take your lowered SS commodore though.
I kited there last week and the water level was very low but still had a great session.
There is still great kiting on the southern end of the lake if you don't want to tackle the track to the spilt.
The beach at Beachport and South End also is great.
