For the record ..........
WAKSA ALWAYS considers music options for EVERY event but ....
1) some events in the past have not involved sufficient member numbers to warrant hiring expensive sound equipment.
2) on several occassions over the past season hire arrangements have fallen thru last minute.
3) when hired gear was provided it was sometimes found inadequate &/or inappropriate.
For all of these reasons (plus others) WAKSA decided it was time members had a music/PA system of their very own.
It was found that the cost will be covered in a very short time when offset against hire charges AND we will now be able to provide music & commentary at EVERY waksa event - even the smaller ones - at no disadvantage to members who cant, or dont, make it to every one.
YOUR new system will be debuting at Kitestock - please come along & check it out if you are a tech head; otherwise just sit back in the dunes & enjoy

ps - if anyone knows a good DJ who would like to volunteer their services from time to time for the more intense, hard core, less backgroundy type sessions please let the committee know.
