End Of Season Ride Day and Social

When: 17th or 18th May 2008

Where: Shearwater Park - Runaway Bay

Set this day aside for our end of season ride day and get together.

Food and Softdrinks will be provided to all members and the day will proceed regardless of wind conditions.

We will make a call as to the preferred day closer to the date. Obviously the windiest day will be chosen where possible.

Some novelty events should provide entertainment and will be announced closer to the day.

Come and enjoy the gathering with your mates from the entire length of the coast. Shearwater is an ideal location for a gathering of hungry kiting fanatics.

The raffle for the BEST 13m Waroo will be drawn on the day so make sure you get one of the remaining tickets in the draw. They are only $20 each and as only a small number of tickets will be sold your odds of winning are sensational.

Cheers - Fitzy and Paulio - SEQKA

End of season...you weak girls... you know they have this amazing new invention called 'the wetsuit'.
I wont get all technical, since you wouldn't understand, but it basically means you can keep kiting in Winter.
Let's face it, the wind can't get any worse on the Coast than it was this Summer, can it?

Nah !!! Not really the end of the season, just running out of names for our ride days/socials.

Most of us ride all year round, wind permitting and Joffa and Johnno only ever wear just boardies regardless of the conditions.

It is the SUnny Gold Coast you know.

There are only two types of people in Australia.

Those who live on the Gold Coast - And those who want to

i think it means that the committee is taking a winter break from running events because of the likelyhood of inconsistent winds to successfully run an event, however i'm sure they will work through winter to bring new events in spring.

if you want to help, attend the agm later this year.

wind was good this year, unless i was mistaken!

The wind on the Goldie this season was sketchie at best.
And the days that were windy coincided with days I could not be 'sick' at work.
As a complete aside, does anyone else consider 'sick leave' as another name for Kiting Leave???

Just ring your boss up and tell him you have an "Eye" problem.

When he asks what is wrong with your eyes tell him ......

... I just can't see myself getting to work today !!

What do u think the wind will be like this sat-sun!?

I'll be down sat-sun @ the coast 4 a mates party, but I'm the sober one, so thinking I'll risk getting more sick and go 4 a kite seeing I'm not drinking.

I was thinking Sunday might show the 15-20 knots, but yeah. Lemme know what location-wind etc. Only kited goldy a few times = eerrrmm flat water babe here HAHA

I think u had my mobile If not.... 04.23.234.997
I'll throw CJ n Terri etc. a text if I plan on kiting.... I HOPE 4 wind, but also hope not cuz then I can get some assignments done!

BTW Pat or Lozza... no need 2 delete it from here, I have my mobile on the 4sale section so its public. Doesn't really bother me.

SUnday looks OK at this stage.

Shearwater Park, Runaway Bay or Len Fox Park at Labrador (KFC) will be good if it's a NE. Nice water.

WIll txt you if its on. Cj and Terese will put you right.
