Hi All,
This isnt a best or worst opinion of either or. Just a general observation of how the wind was today Sat August 5th.

How was the wind in your part of Sydney? 15-25 S-SW at the Airport and no reading for North Head.

Anyway Dolls was chunky but kite-able, some good 30min patches then over powered and underpowered pieces from 12.30pm - 4.30

How was Longy, Wanda/Boat and Brighton LeSands?

Tobes - Brighton Boys were kiting Dolls yesterday - we think we saw the Spout but didn't see it hit Larpa.

Hey Uber - had great sess at Wanda today - initially rain and wind combination made it a bit messy but when it cleared up and the SE wind kicked in - awesome. Lovely rollers out the back to ride down and thru the valley.
Daniel was doin his usual - massive boosts - biggest of the day * the young bloke has cast iron balls *
No doubt about it - SOUTHSIDE ROCKS

cheers col

ps. this thread should be on " GALAH to be outed " - he was at WANDA today

Col I thought I would never see the day where I would see you out in the surf with us , it took a bit arm twisting but we finally got you out there, you left your throne and title Of KING OF THE BAY for one day to carve WANDA up.

All I have to say is the KING OF THE BAY carved the waves up at WANDA.
Col loved that backroll kiteloop you did of that 6 foot wave.
Must I say though we all got smashed at different times of the day but all pulled through to have another epic day doing what we love best KITING and then talking sh1t after it.

That spout was a mini cyclone!!! Jebus I've seen that out Kurnell way before but not that nasty. I always presumed it was a whale breaching for air.

Must have some weird vortex out that way.

Anyway hope you all had a good day out yesterday(sun) Dolls was awesome. some kiter karnage too. Two crazy Euros got all tangled up and kissed the groyne.

It was amazing they where only about 100mtrs from the groyne and only 50mtrs from shore. All they needed to do was pull their safety's then swim onto their kites and self rescue.

I talked to them when they got back in, they said they were trying to relaunch. As they were trying to relaunch their lines were so messed up the kites were looping and smashing back into the water. They got closer and closer to the groyne and Luckily there was about 4 of us to help out.

They owe a big thankyou to NSWKBA's Gav for swimming in and sorting the mess out. Thank god there was no damage to anyone either.

Keep an eye for the 2 they seem to be a little oblivious to common sense issues of kiting. I have personally told them to be carefull quite a few times but they dont listen or learn. Lastime there was a family on the beach downwind of where they were going to launch.

BEWARE OF THESE GUYS: They fly a Slingshot orange Turbo Diesel and a Blue Cabrihna Switch or xbow. 1 is tallish dark hair and the other is short with blonde hair. European accents.

Speaking of incidents from yesterday(Sun) at Dolls.
What ever became of the guy that lost his kite(run-away) blue xbow. He was closer to the other side of the channel then he was Dolls. Did he get help from one of those yachts? What ever happened to his kite?
Last I saw of it, was heading for the airport at a slow but steady pace.

As far as I heard: His Harness broke! He swam to Towra then got a lift from a tinny to deflate and get his kite. I dont think it got to the airport.

Lucky he made it! There was a big cruiser at Towra chumming prolly for sharks
