Booked on a trip to Safari lodge in Fiji in July with KitePower QLD .
If anyone has done this trip previously and could offer some advise to make the trip more enjoyable and pleasant i would love to hear from you.
As a newbie i cant wait to spend as much time in the water as possible . (Above the water would be even better.)

Just checked the website, Travel by boat costs $10.0000 but return flights are free, seems legit

So what difference is there if you book with Kitepower or if you go there on your own?

Nothing really. KP just reserve a few beds I spose.

Went in 2010&11. Great place. Great trip.

The difference is that when you come with us, you're riding with pros that have years of coaching experience and you will get a more structured experience. We offer tips on everything from tricks to gear maintenance and everything in between. Think of it as a week long kiting camp. I guarantee your riding will improve. Well worth it considering the only thing not included is booze!

If you book yourself then booze is the only thing not included, just like your package.
The Lodge does have it's own experienced "pro's" that can also give advice and lessons to help you improve.
Same, same.

The reason i booked it thru kitepower is because i know they will organise a good bunch of like minded people from my local area that hopefully we can continue kiting together on our return.

They take the hard work out of organising all myself.

Cant wait .

I went there last winter with KP Sydney and was lucky enough to have good wind for 5 days straight. Kited to it felt like my legs were going to fall off.
Plenty of time out on the water with support boats. Aways brings together a great bunch of like minded people to have an awesome time.

Accommodation is a matter of you get what you pay for. I was there to kite and knew I'd crash anywhere so bunk house was very basic but fine for me. Those who paid the extra where rewarded with the new beach bungalows.

I was apprehensive before I went as I'd seen a negative report on Trip Advisor, but I found it was not founded and enjoyed the whole stay.

I'm sure you will have a ball.

Next question: How does this place compare with Namotu Island? Anyone been to both? From what I can see Namotu is more expensive, has a good surf break but not so consistent wind...

There is a difference and I think it is significant and you don't pay any extra for it - we send an instructor on all our trips. You can book direct and organise everything yourself or you can book with us go as a group and have a lot more fun for the same price!
