Great news for racing enthusiasts.

I spoke to the Whitfords Catarmaran Sailing Club President today and mentioned we were starting racing. They invited us to join them and race around their course of a Saturday using their start boat, starting flags and all the trimmings.

I mentioned we would need to get a few people up to speed to justify their kind offering so as soon as we get some keen racers with the right gear, I'll sort it out and we can go race around the Cat's course. So stoked, racing's on the menu this year people! It's all good!

Yeah Baby!

Hey Sandman,

Yep! Definately, Wednesday afternoon racing is on every Wednesday wind permitting.

Cheers,

Great work Darren.
I know its been discussed for several (too many) years now but it would be great if others could follow Darrens lead here so we get a few beaches organised with week night course racing. Local course racing could make for a great, fun social event.
WAKSA might be able to assist local beaches to get it happening.
Then Saturdays (when most have time to travel) could become a local beach challenge affair.

What would also be nice would be to see a state challenge/titles event - esp including all country centres as well.
IF members are keen enough WAKSA may look at funding to help get competitors on the water at a state titles event.
