What schools in Brisbane use or know about Peter Lynn kites, I am now kitted out, Venom 16, ARC630 (training kite?)harness, board and I'm looking for a school that knows something abou PL kites.

I've talked to a few, but they all say they don't use ARC's and some even want me to learn on their LEI kites won't teach me on my own gear. I've had two lesson's on LEI, now I want a few on ARC's

Anywhere from Gold Coast/Wellington Point/Brighton will be fine.

All the kiteschools I saw on the west coast of the UK train on PL arcs. I know its a bit far to go, but it does ask the question as to why nobody else does down here.

Hi Iain,
We don't teach on PL kites, but we are more than happy to teach you on your own gear. No issue for us if you have a Venom.
Howeva we have never taught on them before but more than happy to share our knowledge with you.

Cheers
Angie

when you get the right wind you're going to have a hoot on that 630. Zippy little sucker.

I see that the Arc kite size guide
www.kite-fantastic.co.uk/articles/mx5alan/arc-wind-range-calculator.html

Has the 630 in the same category as a V10 or G2-11, that is about 20-30+ knots. Is that because it is so much faster?

630's are awesome fun high wind machines

ive had quite a few 30kn+ sessions where the 630 is in it's sweet spot and mostly everyone else is packing up

I too, owned a 630 Arc, but not for long,( bought it new) turned out to be a real pig with a mind of its own, research posts on this kite around 4-5 years ago on the Arcusers website. I still fly an 840 and I also have an 1120, I can recommend both of these kites. Make sure you obtain a good income protection insurance policy if intend to use the 630 in 30+ kts, cheers,James.

thats correct .they have seen the light and have figured that giving their students the twin skin option is beneficial. Here are the contacts schools and teachers in Oz who have also offer students the opportunity to learn on an arc.
