Didnt see it myself but a few walkers & fishers reported seeing a largish shark (I suggested maybe a seal & they said "no way too big" ). It was out the back of beach one. 300 - 400 metres outside of the kiters.
Didnt eat anyone though.

I would have thought the water was still too cold. Maybe the dead pelican brought it in.

What do you mean the water is too cold, the big white ones love the cold that's why they hang around the South coast most of the time.
From my experience Oct-Dec is the most likely time for them to head up the coast a bit, (usually around Woodies or Mullaloo ) and pick off a few of the smaller, weaker, whale calves as they make there way back down the coast.
Unless of course there is a body dragging kiter on offer instead.

Hehe... well they're out there ALL the time, we just don't see them very often. No big deal

Can't be that big if a dead pelican brought it in.

sharks are overrated!
I have never heard of a kiter getting attacked by a shark..

It would be way to shallow at woddies behind the sandbank for big sharks anyway.

merry xmas to the local woodies crew! you guys rock the spot!
