has anybody seen any? I checked my local beaches and oddly enough can't find any :) , although there are some shadows further north that look like sharks..

well.. If you think about it , the chances of there not being a shark on there are worse than the chances of winning lotto.
Have a look east of Tiona beach, NSW, they look like there *could some nasties there
but also have a look at the killer whale enclosure in san diago USA to see what a killer whale looks like so the size makes sense.

If you go to the google earth community
support.google.com?gpf=d/topic/gec-national-geographic-magazine-content/A5mevoPRxyc
there's some nice seals! Doesn't look like any deftinite shark sightings, maybe
bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthreaded.php?Number=113079
but it's really only a shadow
Happy hunting, I'd rather go whale watching for real.

There are no sharks left, they are all ending up in Asian soup.

If you have a look off Exmouth WA, in the detailed patch there's a couple of suss looking objects that could be whales or whale sharks....

If it's big enough to see from space, then I am NOT interested.
