Yeah that drive to wello was a waste of time... flat as a tack! Got to meet a few more of the wello local crew (including my next door neigbor's little bro), so it wasn't too bad. Sounds like they have been doing some awesome downwinders lately as well. The brighton crew are getting left out here, we need to get our act together.

I figured out that my mental picture of wello was out by a fair bit, 45-90 degrees maybe. So a SW will run up the bay nicely and should be smooth enough. If it kicks in tomorrow and I can get off the leash, I'll be there

we were thinkin of riding on south stradie accross from sheer but theres a crew guna meet at sheer at 9am and we might drive to wello.would be good to see 30kites in the air. I was saying to a local the other day that 3years ago we would have 20-30 kites all day at sheer, maximum we had was 46 approx . Oh how those days are gone

Hey Paulio

I have had 53 emails sent to my hotmail address asking for details of the pin since I started this thread.. I have emailed them all maps and details of where they can hire a boat to get there if they dont have one. I explained that its a great spot to kite in winter with the westerlys. Maybe we should go get my Grand Banks cruiser from Sanctuary Cove and go up there on Sunday. We could get an accurate GPS fix for them and email it back to them.

Actually we could also probably use the boat for your suggestion of a "mens entertainment venue" We could set up the bar on the bridge deck, a buffet on the rear deck and as it has two double bedrooms and bathrooms the "mens entertainment" could be carried out down there. S**t we could make a fortune up there if the wind drops off. All those kiters will be bored and we will be anchored close by.

Also thought we might be able to have a kiting competition. Maybe best jump over the boat wins. First prize will be a weeks kiting with I.do.what.I.want at The Pin. Second prize will be one months kiting with [i]I.do.what.I.want[/i and third prize will be a whole year with him. That should make everyone try to win Eh ?

See you when we meet at Sheer tomorrow.

i can help you with unhooked deadmans - pretty easy really. ive pretty much nailed the whole drop your bar when you least expect it, followed by swim in and untangle manouver - thats gunna big next summer thats what happens when an uncoordinated git thinks he can learn to wakestyle without using a suicide.

as for the council - they've been ok lately, just remember to bring your drivers licence, $350 cash and your first born.... you must register with ze point kommisar before venturing into ze vorter, so you must have your papers!!
