I ride the Shinn Monk 2011 which I absolutely love. After riding a different board of a friend of mine yesterday I realised just how much better the Shinn actually is to all the boards that I've tried.

I just have one little problem with it. Quite often when I throw myself into a rotation the board flies of my feet which results in the obvious crash.

I've tried adjusting the straps but it seems they are already on the tightest setting and even though i have pretty big feet (size 11) they still seem a little loose.

I really like the Memory foam soft pads but I'm wondering if the memory foam has been mainly set on the previous owner of the board? Or should it just mould back to my foot instead of the previous owner?

The footpads are also very big so I wonder if it would even fit any different ones besides other shinn pads.

Would it be a good idea to buy new 'Shinn Sneaker Pads' so that they can mould to my own feet? or am I just doing something wrong with adjusting the straps? Also what kind of other straps would fit the Shinn Monk 2011?

I demoed a Monk at the start of summer.

Nice board but straps are ridiculously sh!t and really let the board down.

Hard to know what they are thinking putting straps like that on the market.. get another brand pads that fit and you will be a happy camper.

straps are a tough one fellas , flat feet, wide feet, skinny feet, blah, blah, i put the darkine warlocks on my shinn , super locked in feel , adjust on the ride , pull to tighten pull to slacken, i use them with the pads easy switch as if they were made for each other, ive let a few guy here try them and theyve switched over on their boards, as reliability goes ive had mine for 3 seasons and flogged them with no issues apart from ****ty stainless screws for pad to board connection, but use with caution if you stack a lot you might do yourself a bit of damage as they really get snug, ie ancle knee twists

There has been some talk about the place about the shinn pads giving you numb feet on the side. I have to profess I'm one of those. The straps are fine.
