Im thinking of buying a 2016 138x42 Shinn Pinbot. Anyone tried them? Im an 86kg beginner just startng to go upwind. Just looking for a comfortable ride that i can progress on. What do you recon?

Good choice. A great board for the level you're at. Plenty to 'grow into' also.
For your weight and current ability, you're in the right weight range too for the 42.
In the conditions and powered level you should be kiting in, I can't see you going wrong with that choice.
