Anyone know the best method of shipping a kiteboard from QLD to WA???

I've found a buyer for my board through Seabreeze forums but not sure the best (and cheapest) way to send it.

Thanks in advance....

AusPost may not take it as its too long.
Greyhound is good but if they charge it as a surfboard, rate is $65.
If ur stuck give us a yell, we can send it for u with our courier.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone.

In the end, I used Greyhound Bus Freight. Cost $39 delivered to the door from Cairns to Rockingham, and they reckon 7-10 days which I think is pretty good.

Only drawback is they do not offer insurance. They do have a track and trace system though, and can give delivery confirmation on the other end.

The next cheapest quote that i got was up around the $80 range with another ground carrier. Air freight was ridiculously exxy just because of the size of the box.

Thanks again...

i have bought a few boards, mainly NSW and Vic and they either used pack and send or registered through Aust Post. they both came in about 40 to 50 but only took about 5 days. Any of those ground lines like greyhound will be cheaper but will always take about twice the time.

the quote i got off pack n send was over $200.....

the guy i sold the board to enquired at aust post and they told him flat out that the box was too big!

i am curious to see how long it takes. they said 7-10 days which i thought would be pretty good even for air freight.
