Despite having been an active member for a mere 36 hours, everybody's friend, mentor, director, manager and father figure, Silviu has already logged an incredible 52 posts on the Sea Breeze forum.

If we subtract 20 hours for sleep (albeit restless sleep wracked with nightmares of missed advice giving opportunities) that is 52 posts in just 16 hours. Assuming Silviu has spent at least 8 hours at productive work, that brings us down to 52 posts in 8 hours.

That's one post every 9.62 minutes.

An amazing feat, and one well deserving of a gold medal p!ss take.

Hay guys,
It looks that I am starting to be a sort of ... personality. He, he!
Any way, thanks for the posts, and just to put the things right:
Spelling - nothing in the word will help me, even a spell checker!! I am still thinking in my mother's language (which obviously is not English).
So, to all of you feeling bad about this, with all my efforts, there will still be some spelling mistakes, although, not intentionally.
For all those not knowing me from the beach, just to know, I am always joking, trying to rise a smile on everybody’s face, sometime a little bit annoying with my little jokes (most of them translated - oh they are terrible), however with the last developments in Melbourne, it looks like I need to take a break.
I’ve been almost five years flying Peter Lynn Arc's, reluctantly rejecting the inflatable, however in October last year, I got to try a 12 m Crossbow, and I was instantly converted.
I love to build al sorts of gadgets, like the safety release (see I am not naming it anymore "quick release"), helmet video camera (I have some good footage of few of my runs in the middle of the bay).
www.kitebeach.com.au/videos/KS_at_KBA.wmv
The most important think is that, I love kitesurfing I think kitesurfing is not a sport, is a way of life, is an addiction!!!
It is exactly as someone said before me: you leave "by the wind" all your program is around the wind: where, how much and for how long!!!
And the reality, is that in the last three days, I had too much time, I was sick at home (the bloody "bug" got me).
Cheers and Good wind everybody

By the way - a ran a spellchecker!!!

No offence intended towards Silviu. Sense of humour gone a little wacky recovering from broken ankle. Another month atleast before I can fly again & goodness knows how long before I can kite.
Still, pretty damn lucky compared to Laurie, the guy who had that accident at Gnotuk, Melbourne. My best wishes go out to him.

Sorry to hear this North. I know the feeling, I was stuck in the house for two days only, and I was going "wacko".
Wish you to recover quick and well.

that explains everything - he's an arc flier...

I have always found that arc fliers sound the smae as thier whiney kite / kite line combos - everyone who as heard the noise of the arc knows what I am talking about.

Hey Ben,

Who are number one and two??
I am starting to be worried!!! Better don't tell me.
Any way, in four years of kiting with Arcs I did not have any mishap, or loft or else.
But, the reality is that I am building and playing kites for more than 40 (yes forty) years, and I know them.
The advantages with the Arcs were that: I could stack them and get out in lite winds when other or siting on the grass and waiting for the wind "to pick up", they were generating enough power to lift my weight (which is very close to three figures) on the board and get me going, I could repair and maintain them by myself (no bladders to pop). I could launch and land them totally safe by myself, and yes Surgeon, that’s the reason why I developed the safety release, to have it in any case.
There is nothing wrong with a controlled "slide" on the sand, when you know what you are doing.
To be honest, the bow kites are similar to the foils (they are actually a variation of the foils) and this is why they are so successful.
Any way, i have to go, my “sicky” is over and I have to go back to work tomorrow, so I will not have too much time and my posting will be less often.

Cheers and good wind.

Silviu,

I can't tell you mate. They get pestered enough by cable tv net works as it is.

I'll give you three free guesses though mate.

Enjoy the weekend, hope you get some breeze, it's looking nice in WA.

I'm very sad your sicky is over mate, it has been a very entertaining week on the forum. Haven't had this much fun since Puppet and Poor Relo stopped posting so much.
