I've heard about a vid where a kiter get's towed by a ski boat, so he's effectvely para sailing, let's go the rope and starts busting tricks 90ft up. Anyone have it or the link.

Saw the one where that poor bastard get's sucked up off the beach!!! That is incredible. Good to hear he is still kiting, don't know if I would be.

There's quite a few videos of people doing this. In one his chicken loop breaks when hes about 35m up and he nails the water straight on his back, he was knocked around pretty hard but survived. In other ones I've seen people going 50+m just being teathered with no boat, your ****ed if something goes wrong from that height.

Pretty silly really

Hey Guys,

Been there and done that with the boat thing and I would advise you just don't go there. We did and it ended up in tears.

My mate Paul ended up in Hospital for 5 days with severe internal bruising and bleeding.

If you wanna go up behind a boat, go parasailing. It's dangerous and stupid behind a boat, and tethered kiting is even more dangerous and even more stupid.

take it as read in previous comments, don't tether kites to a boat.

we have tried however sitting in boat with kite flying on very low wind days building speed with boat and using that to jump.

so boat becomes board and driver does steering.
our tests usually resulted in a wet kite and hard relaunching but was fun. not as fun as normal though.
