ignorance of the law is no defence... is if is illegal to place a slider at woodies if/when authorities find out about it and can prove a person responsible they CAN lay charges

the first post was pretty relevant... theres a lot of places under threat of bans around here. if someone complains about the slider then thats just one more voice lobbying to ban us from our launches.

CALM and councils sooner or later are just going to say, screw this, we are sick of these complaints, all you kite schmucks can go die in hell and stay the hell out of the areas we control

im all for a slider btw, but there IS legislation that could be twisted to cause problems for the ppl putting it there

I think that almost everykiter breaks the law when they kite at the ocean? We are classed as vessels, that means we must carry a flare, PFD class X, obey the speed limits, and not come Within 200m off the shore.

But, everyone is guilty? So why should a slider be an issue when every one breaks the rules to start with??????? If they come down hard on those that choose to have sliders, then they will have to prosecute everyone for entering the shore zone, speeding and so forth.....

Just in case some of you aren't aware, there is a slider right now at Pelican Point. It's been sitting in there for almost a year now, just to see what kind of reaction it would bring. Calm or anyone hasn't said anything against it.
Pseudo maybe you shouldn't look at it negatively because from my experience, if you put alot of energy towards something it often happens. So in this case try seing the upside of it. Or it may get confiscated or even worse yet.
Im not that young, but good on you leon and crew who build this apparadus for all of us who wants to progress in this awesome sport.
I have put this topic out on the forum under "slider anyone", about a year ago, why didn't WAKSA, Jkey or pseudo say anything about this then or find out more as it is inevitable that we must have a slider here in Perth.
This sport is huge and it is growing, faster than any watersport I've ever participated. Slider now is happening, kicker next and so on. It's just a matter of time, Who wants to do the home work?
WAKSA?.. Well since most of us pay a fee to have you as our rep, I'll say this is a job for you.
Do something for us than just bellow up about restictions, that **** is getting as old as the kiters who keeps going on and on about it.
