I was out today on an 11.5 Griffin Argo on a surfboard and there were a few on 12m Ralleys all going well in 25 kn and a little more at times but nice flat water - wind did vary down a lot but this size kite is worth having.

If you like jumping then both brands would do you well.

If it is Ralley u r after go the 8 and 12

yer i was down squids all day. had a crack on michelles rally 10 and it was good. dave said a 8 and a 12 rally is a good quiver. i just don't know if i will be over powered on the 12 and maybe go a 10m,12m quiver.

A couple of us around 80kg have gone for the 10-12 combo
Mine were in the car today :(
Glen was on his 12

Will have them both up oldbar next weekend.

I personally don't think you would get that much use out of the 8 around newy at your weight.
Having said that I reeeeeeealy enjoyed the other day not long ago we had the 8 demo out at squids in 30+
It was very easy to manage in the strong gusts well over 30 (some wud say the gust were closer to 40), So I reckon if the 12 has the same traits it will also be easy to manage when overpowered.

Why don't you just try one first and decide from there? Have you flown one?

How is the 14? I weigh 100kg and not sure what 2 size quiver to get. thinking 12/8 or 14/10?

A few reviews Ive read from OS suggest that they are overpowered for their size compared to the Octane. ie 12 rally = similar to 13 octane.
If that helps?
I'll tell you more after Exy Expo - there will be full quiver up there.

And my near new Octanes are for sale on buy & sell.

"Joe Cron" on here has a 14

I have flown one for a short time, would agree with the over powered bit, but this is also offset by the depower.
And it turns very good for a big kite
WHen you see it on the water from a distance if it is being worked up and down you would think it was a smaller kite by the speed it turns

yer i ended up going the 12m and 10m rally and kept my 7mrev2. i hardly use my 7m, probably had it out 3 or 4 times this winter. and figured i could hold the 10m over powered comfortably
