Slingshot have now got a plastic insert in the bar to reduce the wear on the chicken rope
It seems to be working on mine / but I am wondering if the wear on the plastic insert will be an issue
Anyone got a 2010 SS bar that is 6 mths old that can comment if it is an issue???

Had my '10 fuels since Oct and no issue on the rope or insert. Use 1 bar on 9m and 7m and a different bar on the 13m.
if you are worried just keep an eye on it.

I have had a few issues with previous slingy bars and premature wear but 2010 bar/line is showing very little wear at all.

Mine are all good. I always when landing put my bar and lines on my kite to keep as much sand off the bar and especially the centre line as possible. Once you let fine sand work its way into any braided line where the bar goes through, it's over.
