I just updated my spreader bar to the slingshot surefire spreader bar believing it would be a safer chicken loop release system, but when riding waves toeside I have had the chicken loop pull out of the hook on a few occasions . I think it happened because of the angle that the chicken loop was pulling on the hook. If the loop drops down and then is pulled to the side a bit it comes out very easily. The plastic chicken dick thing on the hook doesnt seem to be rigid enough to stop this happening. Has anyone else had this happen and is there a way to fix it . Help appreciated

because then the surefire won't release...that was the whole idea of it in the first place.

what's the point of the surefire spreader bar when i think all kites made from 06 came with a bar that has a spinning leash system and a quick release on the safety. i used mine on my 04 fuel for the reason that the kite came with a bungee leash with no QR and the ring you connect the leash to the bar is on the back line making it a non spinning leash bar. the surefire spreader bar fixed it.
i've got one sitting in my garage not being used if you want it.

havnt used mine since i started flying Cabs,but mine use to do the same thing
