A number of snowkiting tours have been planned for the winter this year.

After quite a bit of discussion on Sunday due to the lack of wind at St Kilda a number of people can provide details of what is proposed to be fortnightly weekend long excursions to Hotham and Dinner Plains.
I guess this will all be subject to getting the numbers.

Details are available from
Aim Kites, St Kilda Kiteboarding, Kitepower Victoria and Feed the Rat.

www.aimmultimedia.com.au
www.kitepower.com.au
www.stkite.com
www.feedtherat.com

As I understand it the aim is to kick things off in a fortnight (second weekend in July)

I would also like to point out to all the cynics that I am not financially involved in any of the tours above, just keen to get snowkiting happening and promoted in Australia.

What a great meeting that was, all into the support of the Tours.

We should get a list of Kiteboarders that Snowboard or Ski who are interested.

A great way to spend Winter

We have a trip organised for the Weekend of the 5th and 6th. If we have enough snow in the next 2 weeks we can look at a trip for mid July.

Hothams Cover is getting better, by the start of Aug there will be a nice cover for us.

The last few years we have had some memorable sessions in the area, Last year in one trip we kited almost all the way to Falls and back from Hotham boundry.

The area where the trips will be based is about 1.5 sq km of fairly flat area on the border of the village. The Area is great because it works in all wind directions.

I will be great to see snowkiting become bigger in australia including a series of Competition events in the winter similar to some of the Euro Snow Kite Comps ect.
