Check the BOM every half hour hoping for a wind miracle. I think I will be lost once the season is over. I'm sure everyone else also plans their life around the wind.
MTB. It sucks having a passion that is at the mercy of the weather. Mountain biking rules and I can do it whenever I want. Once you get good at it, a sweet DH run is as fun as going for a kite.
This is what I did today. 13 knots ish. Boring on the water..... tow some kids around in the tandem buggy.
thats awesome ! can u go upwind very well?
oh yes! upwind is better than any setup on the water. Its also fast. That's a measly 13 knots and I'm hitting close to 50kph towing another person using a 10m c4.

Looks awesome would work anywhere with open land ie large recreational parks. Is it just my eyes or was that a home job trailer gaffa taped on. (Haven't seen avaible like that exept tandem side by side)
Swear a bit at first ........particularly if the forecast was for wind - then all of the above - but just occasionally I drag a bar or two out and hook it up to tune the bar - yep boring but a worthwhile thing to do !!
I Donated a 1/2 hr or so of 'suggestions' (yep not a qualified instructor- sorry but we live in the boon docks!!) to a guy today that was feeling his way on a 2013 9m north 5 line - and the pig of a kite was back stalling on each attempt to relaunch - I had a go and with a lot of coercing got it to fly - what a PIG!!! After a return to the beach and a closer look at the bar and lines found they were well out of whack!! It had been bought recently as a second hand kite - and it was in good nick ( looked smicho) - after a bit of an adjustment to line lengths to get them sorted - flew nicely (if we hadn't been there to help this guy would have put up with kite for a while and then bagged it I guess?? )
Ok back on topic - no wind ? Go fishing or mountain bike riding - or paint the house which needs it badly (poor house - its too far down the list to get attention!!) LOL
be glad to have a rest when the seasons over..........until the surf and sk8 season kicks off rock on the proposed sk8 park @ 8th street and if the weather doesn't suit crank up the amp and jam on
