looks like they have been looking at the forums and getting the feed back.looks awesome. swivel pulley at top ,new quick release and cleating system and the chicken loop looks a bit smaller too. i`ll be interested on how the plastic swivel pulley system holds out over a period of time.the space between the center lines will naturally aid in activating the untwisting via the swivel.
congrats to slingshot

Looks awesome Everything this year from Slingy is looking sooo nice. You should check out their surfboard range. Wow!!

Two questions tho:

1. Have they finally sorted that crap safety leash out yet (made it push release instead of pull release)

&

2. When will they spill the beans on the new Octane

The first picture shows an arrow with release writen on it pointing up so I'm guessing it's a push away. Looks like the plastic push part is notched the length for the cleat.

Also shows you have the DD in and conect to the flagging line (which I hope they put a stoper ball on) or you take the DD of and attach the leash to the hard point with the safety line loose.

^Safety Leash^

As in the red tube on the leash. You know, the tube QR that catches on your harness and fires itself

Yup, definitely push away. The DD/Unhooked Leash option looks good.

I gotcha my bad - damned if I know - I generally chuck what ever safety leash comes with the kite and us a Cabrina one, pushes away and has a proper clip

The new safety leash is a push away, and the swivel is a moulded product with a thruster bearing in the middle. First flights in light winds worked well. just waiting for some wind to try them properly!

Seems the top of the chicken loop is also flat so it aligns with the bar and keeps the chicken loop in place for unhooked stuff.

The new bar looks like a winner, cant wait to try one.

Does anyone know if the current RPM will be shipping with them at any stage?

Highly doubt it. Have to wait I guess, or just buy the loop as an add on?

Looks good. Will have to get a pair of the new pads and straps as well.

They look very similar to a certain brands pads and anothers straps.

Nope, they are toeless/heeless bindings. They are not straps

not sure about where the safety leash is attatched to the chicken loop. Looks like it will be hard to hook back in after an unhooked trick as the leash will be in the way.
Why not put the leash attachement above the loop

Slingshot = FAIL

The leash sits under the chicken loop when you unhook. In that pic it's upside down.
It's the same system Ozone uses with the leash attachment inside the chicken loop.

It's actually very easy to hook back in, and keeps the chicken loop straight rather than having it lean to one side.

Slingshot = Onto a winner this year

^^^^^ So is the metal donkey dick part is the suicide attachment and the CSS is the flaging line? If i'm seeing it correctly

Not smart enough to realise the chicken loop is upside down = FAIL

The new slingshot bar looks nice. I'm a big fan of their bar set up. However, there is one thing that annoys me about the bar that is so simple to fix but they never do. They need to include an elastic cord at the ends of the bar to clip over the lines when you have wound up your lines.

You could say the same thing about grab handles, but I hate boards without them. Elastics don't get in the way at all and I find them very conveinient, so why not add them?

Got any pics of the 2010 grab handle? I hope they have put a bearing in there for ultimate board spinage.
