If your interested we have a new video page on Southcentralkiteboarders.com - its the real deal just everyday fun. One with an Eyre Peninsula trip and some surfing.

Good Australian Music (yes even with copyright permission)

enjoy (or not, your choice)

Good work Dazza. Wish I had an original sound track for my movies. Can I recommend getting a tripod. Filming in the wind is really difficult with a hand held camera.

I did the Kurnell Big Air Day video recently. Luckily I got about 7 minutes worth of decent footage from 40 minutes of filming

Keep it up, we need more home grown kiting movies

Thanks guys,

actually not only is the kitesurfing done on a tripod I had to use some antishake on the software to calm it down. the west coast SA vid was the first go and my girls (lovlie wife and daughter) were just getting used to it.
Some of the Middleton stuff is so far out to sea that I have it maxed on 35 optical zoom - pretty shakey.

I think I need a better tripod, I'll get a better one if you give your dog a valium

The dog's name is Sam and he won the worlds ugliest dog competition a few years back. He died undefeated. May he rest in peace.

As for tripods, I luckily inherited an old Miller tripod, professional quality from a friend in the industry. It has a floating hydrolic head, weighs about 20kgs and is rock solid on the beach in 40 knots. New they're worth over $1000. A good tripod makes all the difference for shooting kite movies. Try to stay away from digital zoom as well it degrades the images big time.
Keep up the good work. I'm laid up with a bung foot at the moment but hope to be out shooting again soon.
