Hey guys,

Im living in Perth atm and keen to get into kiteboarding ASAP!

However im moving to Sale (Vic) next week with work, so I was wondering if anyone knows anyone down there (Sandy Point, Lakes Entrance etc) that would be worth contacting for lessons/gear etc. Am keen to get into it pretty much as soon as i get there. Ill be living out of Yarram most weekends, so probably sandy point way would be better. Would prefer not to have to leg it to melb though.

Also if anyone wants to provide some gouge on what gear i should get (180cm, 78kg) for riding down there, please feel free.

Cheers,

GG

Hi G2

I just cam back from a trip to FIJI with Tony from Ral Innovations...cool time!

You should contact Tony on [email protected] or find his last posting and PM him...

He runs clinics / lessons down at Sandy Point and also will be able to assist in advice on gear...he's not a young guy though...he converted from Windsurfing , where he hand carved the first board from driftwood from Noah's ark....doesn't mind a joke either...

See ya

John

Coolrider, has spent too much time on those hamocks sucking Bounty rum. the hamock mesh has embedded a crisscross patten into the back of his head, to the point of cutting circulation to his brain.

I didn't carve my first board from driftwood.

I paid good money for new redgum.

Hi G2

Working in Sale is not a good start, but still you've got un-crowded beaches, lakes to choose from. Also you haven't got to fight your way throught the cheese and bleached hair in Queensland!!!

Paynesville has got every wind direction covered, there is a small group of about 10-15 kitesurfers out most weekends, but there is always someone out.

Lakes Entrance is alright, but probably not the best for beginners.

Lake Tyers, is good S/E or S/W, either in the lake or in the sea

Marlo, good but sketchy launches, again lake(estuary)and sea.

Pretty friendly bunch down this way, and the numbers (like everywhere) are growing by the day.

Give me a shout on [email protected]

regards

Always looking 4 someone 2 kite with. We have the best spots around sale and good breezes. Have another learner starting out so always better with 2. Dont fork out mulltiple dollars in leasons by so called instructors till u have talked 2 me.
