Living on the Southern side of the city, and thinking of heading south a bit more down Stanwell/Wollongong way this season

Does anyone want to share some non-secret locations for NE'r down your way? Also, what is the best reading to look at for which locations?

I know the flystanwell weather station is pretty accurate, but is the wind as strong elsewhere as it is here?

No real secrets about the Sth Coast head to Geroa Seven Mile Beach you will see us kiting and doing dwn winders, it is also no secret from Geroa into JB has to be one of the most wind blown places to kite on the east coast for a Ne seabreeze.

Geroa means windy place in Aboriginal and Fark it gets windy there as does Jervis Bay shhhh dont tell anyone.Just bring a 7mtr kite thats all you need.

Mmmmm Gerroa - such an epic spot.

Bear in mind it can be cross to cross off in a NE'r, and don't fall in to the trap of putting up a big kite just because the water "looks flat".

Its about 3/4 of a km east of the entrance to Lake Conjola . Either ( launch at entrance to lake and work your way upwind in NE to the island , wind is gusty near the beach but gets cleaner as you get up near the island ) or ( take turnoff to Bendalong go past Manyana to Cunjurong Point. This will get you to the beach near the island ). And as KIT33R said the wind is very offshore there, but fun . Have Fun
