For public transport spots you could go to Dolls Point (SE, NE or S) as buses go there and then if the wind changes just talk to someone and grab a ride if wind is SW for Kurnell or Boat Harbour.

G'day Going

If you drop into the shop at Sans Souci, I can show you all the spots on a map I have there. Do not kite north of the Novatel at Bay st, beware of tides when kiting at Dolls Point. If you can hook up with some local you should be able to organise a car ride to Kurnell, which is also a good spot especially in the off season.
You can catch the 303 bus from central, ot get a train to Rockdale station and then a bus to the The Grand Parade.
My shop is at the southern end of the Grand Parade at Sans Souci/Dolls Point, ph 02 95296894

steve i know your trying to be helpful and all but why do you suggest that everyone come into your shop to see a map of where you go.
there are a quite a few resources they could use like searching the forums, reading kitebeaches.com, seabreeze.com.au etc..
ive been into your shop and have found you to be less then helpful.
if you really want to be helpfull why dont you put a map on your website so these people dont have to waste time coming to your shop when they could be out kiting.( i see that you have this scheduled for sometime this year...)

G'day Senergy

Why not? Why does it bother you? Why didn't you address your post direct to "going", instead of taking the opportunity to have a bash at me? Thats not helping anyone on this forum is it?

Its pretty obvious why its better for someone new to Sydney or Botany Bay should visit a local shop, kiter, and bay resident, to find out all the goss and safety info on the local spots. Also much better communication possibilities eye to eye, plus they have the opportunity to check out the biggest most well stocked shop in Oz, meet other local kiters, meet me and get advice on a wide range of kite issues, find out about AKSA and the PL insurance offered, etc.

The map will be coming, however then I will tell people to check the web link to that page on our website and suggest they come and see me anyway.

I'm sorry your visit to my shop was frustrating for you, and you didn't get the help you were looking for, what was it you wanted help with?

Maybe you got what you are giving, instead?
