Asking around has got me lots of different & sometimes conflicting info Talking standard type twin-tips. Whats the real story What difference does it really make on the water What are the advantages & disadvatages of both Does it really matter all that much

i thought it was round edges will cut through chop more smoothly but not give as much lateral resistance and square gives a bumpier ride but better resistance?

Won't the resistance be determined by the length of the effective edge?
I think square edge will be very sensitive and reactive, rounded edges less so as the length of the effective edge changes progressively due to the rounding of the tips. So for chop, that would mean a more forgiving feel, but for the same size board a smaller effective edge and less sensitive or reactive compared to a square tip.

From what ive heard a round tip gives you a much smoother transition edge to edge for carves and stuff (surfboard feel) Square edge allows you to load a heap more pop for wakestyle.

Round edges give more vortex ,slower .Straight edges are cleaner ,faster .Southampton Institute of fluid dynamics! When board hits they both hurt.
