Hey there a kite that is good for unhooking is one where you can control the kites position in the wind through edging on your board. Hence a lot of the bow kites will drag you down wind and not allow you to use your edge to get it to the edge of the wind window. This is where c kites have always excelled.
Kites like the rev and other hybrids were developed specifically for this purpose.
I currently ride a T3 9m which I love for unhooking awesome pop and you can still edge it, the 9m rev is easier to edge buut a little to quick for me to do inverted handle passes, but that speed is awesome in the waves.
My advice would be to try and get yourself a demo :-)
have fun kiting
Hey sorse
maybe you need to do some more homework this is what they SS website says about the T3
The NEW Slingshot TURBO3 has evolved past traditional bow kites to incoporate our delta style canopy/LE configuration. Riders of all abilities will discover a 4 line bow kite that delivers all the requirements of unmatched range, instant 100% de-power, saftey and instant re-launch ability. Just ask the insiders that work at Slingshot what they ride. Its a bow kite no doubt about it just because they are trying to hang delta shape off it too is just marketing BS and sorry but your explanation about unhooked performance of bows is BS too.
And you ride one.
sounds like you are just trying to pimp your brand and rubbish the rest
Bows and hybrids have large projecte areas so when you unhook you have a big canopy to control and the no1 tip with unhooking with any bow or hybrid is to go one size smaller and the same applies with c's too. Try with what you've got already ISPI and borrow some others you have to wade through so much pimp gism if you ask that question on a forum its not worth it but ya get some hella funny pimp speak hahaha
