Hi there.
I have all the gear ready to go for kitesurfing except for my board I have done the lessons, and am at a point where I am teabagging up and down on the board. I have a kite, bar, harness, lines, I just need a decent learners board.

I don't really want to drop $900 on a brand new big boat of a board that I might only use for a few months until I am kiting well, but I can't find anything suitable second hand on the buy/sell.

I am keen to go kiting tomorrow on Botany bay - who has a 140+ board that they want to liquidate to go and buy a nice 09 kite.

If you are in Sydney (ideally lower north shore, cbd, northern beaches, or somewhere near botany bay) and you have a board you want to move, send me a PM and we can do business - I will come and pick it up tomorrow.

As there is a lack of big boards on the buy and sell that would mean that there is an under supply in the second hand market. What that means is if you buy a new one the resale value will be higher.

Just buy a new one, then Steve is one step closer to buying a new boat.

You don't have to pay $900 for a new board, 700ish gets you something brand new that you will be able to sell in 6 months for around 500ish, or that you can keep for a light wind board.

Hoskau - nothing wrong with my current boat, but what do you think I should get?

I bought a 142 off Steve for like $600 (it was 2 seasons old), then sold it about a month later for $550. Best thing I did. Learnt to kite on a big board for $50!!!! Then I bought a smaller second hand board for $400

as hoskoau says, you will get virtually all your money back once your ready to get a smaller board

orange bolt boards are based in vic, they make boards to order and you can choose your own graphics.the boards start at 350 for board only or 450 with foot pads and fullbore staps or 580 with pads, staps, fins and a handle.
they do it like that cos lots of people have bits left over from other old boards that they can reuse.
maybe if some one asked they might do two (OBB) for the price of what you may pay for one in a shop for 1000.
e.g. two for the price of one
one for light winds and one for strong winds.
cheep!

send me a message if you would like their phone number.

I thought with all the stuff your selling these days, especially the fire breathing water that you would have already put a deposit down on one of these suckers :)

That or one of these
