Well unfortunately my Wam is back in the shop being repaired for the second time this month :>(, so looking for a cheap board while learning strapless & came across a 5"11 going cheap.
Has anyone ever used a Stretch F4 Quad as a kite board before?

first repair was to replace a fin box (hit a sand bar). Then the other day put my spreader bar thru the deck. Also the Stretch is a Tuff Lite, I think it will be fine - just interested if anyone had one & how it went.

i used a 6"1 (think it was, or maybe 6"2) and it was good in light winds but no good for perth really, too big. could be ok for east coast. and the lightness of it once it was over 20 knots the wind would pick it up off the water if you fell off and throw it at you if you were downwind of it.
Liked the shape but recon tufflight is too light, and not designed to take point loads i.e. jumping and kiting on. Recon that Josh Mulcoy model looks like construction is better and sized down so might work. offers option of quad or thruster. not convinced quad is any good for kiting on (for onshore anyhow)
not sure if this will really help you, just giving you my pro's n cons of the board.
main thing i must say is the feel of poly is much better than stiff dead tufflight and have not seen a kiteboard construction that has held up longer than a standard surfboard so why pay double for it?

Cheers CAUTION, & thanks for that info, I borrowed a mates standard construction thruster today & did 2 d-winders on it without any noticeable damage...so I think I'll just get a normal SB & give the F4 a miss.
