Hi All

Red eyes are stinging, not enjoying time after a kite session

Can anyone recommend some sunnies/goggles to go, preferably something with good vis, polarised with comfort that I wont lose everytime I go guts up????

Addidas evil eye. Comes with straps and normal ear connections so you can wear them as normal sun glasses as well.

Oakley waterjackets are great, but pricey. I picked a s/hand pair up at a kite retailer for $90.00 and there great.

If I was to break/loose them(waterjackets), I'd think I'd be looking at the Evil eyes mentioned by Saffer. I checked his pair out when we met last and ther very universal and great if you require presciption lenses, I'm short sited.

What ever you do, where something. Pure and simple, if you kite in the sun without eye protection, your a goose, and possibly in time,
a blind one.

And what ever you get, the straps that float are a good idea, the waterjackets are a perfect example. There called,"WATERjackets" and for around $300.00, the bl@@dy things dont even float,"choice".

I have been trying the Sun Dog surf sunnies for the last couple of days and they are really nice...have a band to hold them on, and soft rubberishy supports on the nose and ears, and they don't come off unless you crash extra hard!

I have had a couple of pairs of Seaspecks over the years. They're good as long as you get the polaroid ones and you nust keep them safe from scratches otherwise you can't see the chop. On the down side I have lost lenses out of 2 pair. Most recently (glasses 1 week old) I lost a lens after a heavy crash.

I just picked up a pair from my local dive shop (Australasian Diving Centre on Stirling Highway, Claremont) fo $30. Wore them yesterday felt great. They look like generic Sun Dog ripoffs. There's a polarised version for $40.

i would have thought that you wouldn't like the polarised version because then you couldn't see the chop ????? if there normal sunnies you can see everything (un polarised)...... if there polarised then you loose half the sun reflection of the chop or wave face and added with the darkness or tint on the sunnies.... you begin to not be able to see the wave or chop at all? hence later on when the light is less on the water but the sun is straight in your eyes... you cant see a thing

i get the same - killer red eyes after kiting...

These are good and the price is awesome also - i found tho initially they had some fogging issues untill i cut away some of the foam padding and drilled a few more holes in the framework, they work a treat now.

i got the GRIPZ HARDTAIL but they have heaps of other options to - check em out.
