Good sesh... thanks for getting my Board Blownaway. Nice heavy consistant wind, a massive 5knot+ current and a good time to try some new BIG moves. I got nailed real good a couple of times one of these we got on camera doing a failed triple backroll, I couldn't figure out why I had so much horizontal speed but after looking at the film I discovered I was on the way to putting my kite into a left kiteloop whilst I was doing a right hand (goofy footed) cut. Anyone keen to go out again tomorrow??? I will be there provided my knee gets better over night (I twisted it when my board came off on one foot). How much fun was it when we were all flying down that strech towards cotton tree, even randoms were cheering each other on and giving the thumbs up it was wicked. I was trying to see how far down I could get without crashing my kite when the wind stops as you go behind all the trees. It gets really bumpy in there towards the end. Its so much fun just bunny hopping all the shallow sections whilst charging a full speed.
I was a little pissed with that guy on the Peter Lyn though. He kites 1m behind someones board when they were about 50m downwind of it obviously struggling to get it as it was going out to sea. He also just watched three seperate people's boards get taken out in that massive current. I was one of these people when my kite was inverted and tangled. Its not all about yourself mate, we help each other. On another occation I was getting sunseekers board, it was obvious that I was in a search for it and the guy just keeps coming towards me eventually cutting me off giving me this dirty attitude look. Our kites brushed together and almost tangled. All I could to turn it away from him hoping and let him have right. Disappointing when we are all there with all smiles and you have someone there with such an attitude. I know for one thing that if I ever see him in trouble I am going to turn my head the other way and keep kiting as he does to everyone else.
