Probably a bit early in the week to start this topic but I'm a bit cranky cos I didn't get to kite this weekend...however not too cranky cos I got myself a 10m Switchblade 2

OMG the forecast for the weekend looks good - way too early though.

Dustin - I was trying to get hold of you and Skeggs on Friday at about 2:30 to go to SPOT-X but couldn't get hold of you - I didn't end up going and I'm spewing.

Can you guys not pm each other this ****? Nobody is impressed by your "Spot X" or "Spot F" talk, it is clear that there are only 3 or 4 of you who know wtf anyone else is on about, so just pm each other or something. The other option is to tell everyone where you're going, so that other people may have a chance of meeting up with you there.

Here, let this be an example for your consideration:

"On Friday i'll be heading up to Buckley's Waterhole or Red Beach (South of Bongaree) to see what the westerleys are doing. I'll be there around 1pm and hope to meet up with some of you guys. Come say hi, i'll be flying a red and black 11m Sonic."

Get it?

Get over it Neill ffs, I am not going to PM every single member of the crew and likewise I (and most the guys I know) dont want every tourist and newb taking over where I ride. Do you tell everyone on the internet your favorite fishing spots? Most of us have done the research for these locations, and like surf locations like to keep them amoungst ourselves. The rivermouths are already ruined and most of us dont kite there anymore purely because of the crowds. If anyone wants the info they can PM me or anyone of us and we will happily provide it. If you really want us to go away organize a locked section for us with laurie otherwise the really simple answer is to just not read it or (even better) PM everyone personally telling them to stop doing it.

They are talking about Double Island Point...........Inskip...............South Bribie................And around there....

Pitty they don't know that you don't have to travel for an all-time Westerly Sesh.

Yeah sorry my bad, i had my knickers in a knot when i typed that. sorry if it came across a bit harsh it just appears condescending when you guys are like "SPot x today" etc. I guess it doesn't really matter to me that much, i have a westerley spot, a northerly spot and a south to east spot but i don't go posting it around the joint.

my apologies again, i was all arced up about something this morning when i typed that. funny thing is, i don't even remember what it was

But yeah, I'm looking pretty confident for a westerley session friday afternoon starting 1pm on the next beach south of Bongspot be there and say hi! red + black sonic 11m, retarded looking bloke on the pointy end of the lines.

well i had the best session i've ever had today

went to bongspot around 1pm, about 7 other kiters in the lagoon there. westerley was cranking, was good but crowded for about 2 hours.

then the wind died off to about 10 knots, sometimes less. everyone packed up and left. myself and one other bloke on a red switchblade stayed.

wind picked back up after about 10 minutes, it was a solid 15 knots all the way to sunset. had the whole of the lagoon to just two kiters, dead flat water and clean westerleys. simply awesome.

I wore a steamer and springy at once... Nice and toastie, holding onto the 14 in those 30knot gusts was challenging to say the least, so i rekon that played a part in keeping me warm.

Tomorrow, high tide is at 14:40 - which means that the tide will be running in until about 15:00 or so.

Dustin and I checked out a new secret spot for Westerleys on Friday arvo - had a couple of runs but the tide was running the wrong way. Lots of potential.

All I'm saying is that spot NOJ might be the go at midday tomorrow.
