Where do you guys go in a westerley? I know bongspot is there but it's a bit far south - is there anywhere around caloundra/maroochydore area that is good in a dedicated westerley?

Yeah i wasn't planning on kiting the passage in a westerley, just asking if anyone knew any good spots up here. Bongspot is a top area, just a bit of a drive from me.
What about lake weyba? It looks pretty big on google earth. It's probably just as far away as bongspot but could be worth a try one day in winter?
Not specifically - i was just wondering. Moved up here 2 weeks ago from brisbane, where i've been kiting at wellington point in the westerleys. Bongaree is a great spot for south-westers (was there on saturday actually) but it's a bit of a drive.
My sonic's LE exploded while carrying the kite up the beach on the weekend so unless moti levy is a speed demon i probably won't have a kite for this weekend :(
.... unless my tax return comes in this week, in which case i probably will!
