Please, God, let it blow 18 - 25 from the NE this weekend just outside the Sheraton in Noosa. You are perfectly aware that Conferences are just about the only time I get to go Kitesurfing! I'll be good, I promise. Heapsgood!

Yep - we were all granted our wind for three days, but on the first day, after a couple of hours, I crashed my kite nose-down and blew the canopy. A bittersweet weekend! I'm on my way to the sailmaker now!

Hello to the RiverMouth locals - thanks for being friendly and helping out with getting me and my dead kite across the river through that screaming tide. ...and to Martin for then lending me that Flexifoil 12m.

I know I told one or two people, but, for your information, the Ranger approached me before I even launched and said that I should keep west of the River mouth groyne unless I'm 800m out. I said I was a tourist and would attempt to relay the info to the others if I could. He did say it was "fair enough" to go east of the smiley face if there were no swimmers in the water at all, but that it was a bathing reserve, as the sign clearly says.

I hope to see Noosa River mouth again, and when I do, the water will be its more typical colour!
