Looking on advice from fellas who ride surfboards.been riding a twintip over a year now and would like to get a surfboard aswell.only problem is I have no idea where too start.size,make,model.strap/strapless??i weigh bout 85 kg and got a 12 and an 8 m rebel.water will be calm to moderate chop.any advice welcomed.cheers

To start off learning the basics and get the gist of how things work, try buying an old 6ft surfboard.

Got one yesterday evening,piece of **** well worn out.hopefully try give it a go tomorrow.any tips?

Don't think too much about it mate, just go out there and you'll soon work it out, it ain't rocket science.
The only advice I can give you is don't ride it on its rails like a TT and get rid of them straps!!
