Long time reader; first time caller...
Anyone any thoughts on whether using a 6'2 strapless surfboard is a reasonable light wind option, and will it get me upwind? I am fairly competant in that I can sail upwind on my 136 twin tip, ride toe-side, land basic jumps, stay out of trouble etc.

Yep I ride a 6'3 old 80's board, the shape doesnt matter much. they go upwind well as you have heaps of rail.
