Anyone out there who can tell me where to kite and what wind direction works ? I will be there tonight staying with friends about 15 minutes inland from surfers. Pretty keen for some flat water !

I have until sunday then we fly back monday.

Unless you can fly in less than 10 knots - got surfing instead

Most of the riding done in Goldie and Sunnie Coast is ocean.

Flat water on the Goldie is behind KFC (Loders Creek) on the Broadwater, or further north at runaway bay (shearwater esp), know as Shearwater. You should see kiters out at Shearwater provided there's wind. Locals are very friendly, just bring a carton of beer

or Narrowneck (ocean side north of sufers') Just remember to keep clear of the flags. Nearly all of us dont go between broadbeach and surfers... too many flags... The clubbies will radio through to each tower chasing u.

Only got one short session in- shouts out to all the helpful crew who were happy to let me know where and when to ride !

Definitely coming back soon.
