I've kited and surfed all over the world for a long time and, up until now, i've been tied to London for work. I've spent 10 winters in London with solid traffic, 2 hours to the beach to squeeze in a sesh before it's dark at 4pm and it is seriously cold so ANYTHING will be better than that.
What do you do for living?

Gee, mining/oil/gas/banking rules the world!
Perth is boredom. Sydney Opera house has got more events per year than Perth.
The Blue Mountains are just stunning. It's like a Grand Canyon and the Yanks can't believe the sight.
Personally, I like diversity of culture/nature/architecture/museums/languages/people..
This is why we escape from Perth every now and than, to keep me/us alive/sane.
We were told that life in Perth is getting pretty close to London. To expensive to go out, dine out etc. Probably the same in Sydney.
I mean, my wife was refused entry to Dean at Northbridge, coz she didn't have a photo ID? She's 40 yo.
And they are scanning photo ID (and keeping records!) when you visit the gentleman's club? Yeh, been there last week:) Don't ask...

Tell us pls. is this the same procedure in London? :)
Also, I don't think Oz can compete with accessibility of Spain/Greece/Turkey for kiting...Even Portugal. This is all about 1-2hrs from London, is it?
We, at least in Perth, do not have a last minute flights for a few Pounds/Euros

Need to book well in advance for everything from here...
Hope this helps.
