I think it's time for the sport to head in a new direction. Just imagine 2 or 3 kiters performing identical tricks close together. Looking at Lenten and Hadlow landing moves with ease, that we could only dream of mastering, i think they should give it a go. You wont see me trying it! It would be more exiting than synchronized swimming or diving

couldn't agree more. Even simple floaty synchronised moves look great and would certainly look good to punters.

Surf style: Unstrapped/Unhooked
Freestyle/Wakestyle: Kite lower with more speed making it more powered and stylish.
That's the way I think it's heading. Even if it's not, atleast it's not heading towards synchronized dangling.

You call yourself a Kitesurfing COMMUNITY!!!
What's with the continual thumbs down over peoples ideas, the continual slagging and the immature antics...

Absolutely pathetic guys! For anyone who reads this forum... Talk about a bad look for the sport...

Hi Peeps,

Our sport is so dynamic and exciting, by simply pidgeon holing it into any particular category which is cool or uncool restricts us from exploring new and unique ways to enjoy our sport.

We are just entering into new areas such as Speed kiting, course racing, powered wake style, and Lenton style looping just to mention a few. These are exciting times!

As a sport, kitesurfing is legitimate in it's own right, we now have more opportunity to break the rules than any other sport. By trying to copy wake style and be more like them, we are following another sport and are ignoring that which makes us even more exciting, the fact that we can throw handle passes 30 feet in the air (something they will never do behind a boat) makes us unique, not superior or inferior, just unique.

We can ride waves strapped or unstrapped, hooked or unhooked, small, large, in barrels, in choppy onshore as well as down the line. We can charge tow in monsters, or hit 2 foot dribble and make it look fun. We can race around close out sections and then boost over waves on the way out, again this is unique to kiteboarding alone. No other sport can be as diverse or visually spectacular as Kiteboarding.

It's the reason we have grown faster than any other sport on the planet. Think outside the square, push the sport in a direction which makes you happy, but don't put sh1t on anyone for their ideas or the way they ride.

We are coming into an era where wake boarders are looking up to us and envy the tricks we can do. Surfers are also paying close attention and are joining us in droves. Our sport is awesome, lets use our uniqueness and push our own personal boundaries.

Kite on and smile if it makes you happy!

Good winds,

you been injecting yourself with what now?

why does aden always get red/thumbs down for his posts, i can't even find anything in them that's some sort of disagreeable point of view, normally a random comment of no substance but it strikes a nerve somewhere.

yeah, i'm the link aficionado..(of sorts, wanna buy one..?)

as for 'synchronised kiting', it probably would look good from a distance, the same way i am sure the sydney mardi gras would look ok from a distance....

but guess what, they're both gay..

It's kind of cool and kind of gay at the same time.
I'm a little bit confused...

But on another note, why does the sport have to move in a particular direction? Why does kitesurfing have to be a sport?
Can't kitesurfing just be a recreation that just is?
Why do i have to know the difference between wakestyle and freestyle?

Can't i just ride and have fun?

PS.
I like backrolls and big floaty jumps and hanging upside down...
