Hi all,

I have had a couple of sessions on my new Torch 2007's, Wow, what a wikid kite. They have greatly increased the depower, so much in fact that friday week ago when the big southely's were in I (@97kgs) rode the 9m perfectly powered up out at longy then Emilie (@<60kgs) rode the same kite, in the same conditions, Very impressive. The jumping on the 07 torch has been tweeked massively, I had a quick sessio nyesterday arvo at Narrabeen on the 14m, The jump hight was massive, but more so the hang time was massive! I urge you all to have a demo of the new Torch 2007. It's fast flying, fast turning, wikid power and has added depower. If your after performance this is your kite!!! Best kite naish have ever made!

Speak soon,

regards,

JB

JB could not agree with you more, the kite is awesome Im getting rid of all my 06 ravens and replacing them with torches.

Its by far the best kite Naish have made so far, I just cant wait to get back out on the water, spoke to Jason yesterday from windnwater and his torch apparently arrived today and he cant wait to try it out.

Also a mate of mine had a demo of my 12 torch and after riding it for 10 minutes he ordered one the next day, and this guy has been trying out kites for the last year and nothing has really done it for him, but the T3 blew him away.

Yes, lots of time Buz. Deleted my post for you.
It's just a shame about the ever increasing double standards on this site. Maybe it's time to leave it behind I guess.

My actual favourite kite site is kitesurfstuff. Good basic info on new gear around without anonymous, biased and money driven opinions.

As I said, the gear from naish looks very good this year and I am keen to try it all out, regardless of my prefered brands.

No anonymity here! And yes I ride for Naish, but I didn't slander anyone elses brands, mearly stated my experience on the great acheivement Naish have made with this years torch.

And User, thanks! Yes Kate and I had our first bub 4 weeks ago, she's a little champion! Her Name is Jessica, and we are super stoked. I don't think I'm going to get much kiting in though this summer, Doh!!

As far as motives go, I urge every rider out there to try as many kites as possible, not just Naish. And maybe try commenting on the possitives of your experience in a neutral term, instead of always having to compare pigions with eagles!

I hope you all get a chance to try the new Torch.

Regards,

JB (John Messenger, no anonymity!)

P.s. is anonymity even a word??

A mate of mine got the new 14m Torch. He previously had the 2004 Torch 14. He is jumping higher and seems to have a lot more time in the air. I am sure he agrees with you JB and if I could pry it from his fingers I might be able to comment. If I could find somewhere to hide the body then I could have a new 14m Torch.

Must agree with cammck.

The bloke up that cammck refers to, upgraded from an 05 torch to the 07 and now without a doubt jumps higher and hangs longer than anyone else here. We had a 15 to 20 knot day and on his 14m was clearly out jumping everyone on a whipped jump. He also claims the depower is very good as well. He can't get the silly (sillier than usual) smile off his face.

The Raven 07 is out of control, It flaunts the same increased depower as the T3, but has the massive boost that we all know from the Raven range. The Raven 07 definately out boosts the T3, it jumps smoother, and hangs longer. Turning speed is a little slower than the T3 (which is a good thing at that height). Probably suited to the big boost enthusiest, The main differance between the T3 and R3 is the T3 has a static pull, it pulls pretty much the same all the time were as the R3 produces massive amounts of lift the faster you ride it, therefore the faster you ride the more power you have and the higher you will go! The increased depower helps in getting that extra boost. Raven should be here in November. Chris @ Kiterite QLD has riden my Demo one, he ended up buying it for himself, so I didn't get a chance to ride it myself, but give him a call if you interested in how it flew for him!

JB
