Hey Caelah. Im a tassie boy, been living in sydney last couple years but im headin home in may too! i'll be back around the 20th. ive been back and kited a few times around hobart so i know all the spots. some fantastic flat water spots and waves too if you want. all wind directions not a problem. you'll be the only one out most of the time which is a novelty for any sydney kiter! the water is COLD so you will need a 4/3 wettie and boots. as far as kites go, something small is definately needed for those roaring 40's. we get a heap of wind but it is inconsistent and often very gusty. get in touch of you like. i know there is not many hobart kiters about, the guys from kitesurftas are mostly up north. enjoy your trip, dont forget your polar fleece jacket, gloves, beanie, t-shirt, sunnies, umbrella and sunscreen for the four-seasons-in-one-day climate!
