Had a bad couple of weeks with a kite that just feel to bits in the heat, valves coming away.

Did a few repairs with glue but the time frame of 24hrs is pretty bad.
Used Tear Aid on a few valves and was able to get out straight away.

Big fan of this stuff, definately worth having some in reserve.

Anyone else used this stuff

Tear Aid is the business.

I've tried to re-affix valves to my '05 Fuel bladder by heating/melting, gluing, and even siliconing (dumb) and nothing came close to working as well or as easily as Tear Aid. I simply cut out a ring of it leaving 1cm each side of the valve edge and stuck the suckers back on. The inner circles are saved for later small repairs.

If you're doing this, be very careful to get it on without folds in the bladder material, because you WILL NOT be able to remove it again.

I also need to give a massive thumbs to Slingshot for their after sales service. Slingy USA sent me a new leading edge bladder at no charge for my '05 kite which I purchased new last year (old stock) at a heavily discounted price. They've earned themselves a lifetime customer.. me

Yep all the time!!
Like every day at the moment. Blown out LE bladder today, right at the tip - a common problem on some kite.
Tear not only fixes it but prevents further blowouts, because it is so much stronger but just as elastic as a bladder.

For valves, I always use a small amount of Kite Fix glue to seal the area between the cut circle and the base of the valve, works every time and I never get leaks from the small radial rib lines on the base of most valves, that can create a track for air to leak at the base of the valve still.

One caution with Tear Air as mentioned once you put it on you cannot get it off without destroying the bladder.

If you do get a leak from a wrinkle, cover it with another piece of tear aid, you can fix virtually aby size blow out. I have done some well over 12 inches long.

Comes in 5 foot long rolls too.
