Any ideas of weather in Thailand in June-July. Not worried about sailing but just dropping in with the kids on the way to UK. Is the wet season tolerable or a pain in the arse? Been to Bangkok but was thinking of down south. Any info. Thanks in anticipation.
Don.

The wind in June-July can be OK, it is a SW monsoonal wind, so west facing coast of Phuket / Ko Samui is your best bet, and if your desperate, Pattaya (sin city). Wind averages around 12 knots so big kites.

Phuket can get some good surf this time of year. KiteboardingAsia.com have a great location in Phuket, you can also contact [email protected]

cheers

you can get periods of heavy rain, very stormy/tropical style

i find it quite pleasant, the temps are down a bit and the humidity is little different overall, usually no crowds too
